Photography Workshops for Kids & Teens

Creative, confidence-boosting and seriously good fun!

Photography is a brilliant hobby for young people. It sparks creativity, encourages them to explore the world around them, and builds skills that last a lifetime. Whether they're snapping on a phone or getting to grips with a digital camera, it's all about seeing things differently – and having a great time doing it.

Our kids and teens workshops are designed to be hands-on, relaxed and inspiring. From getting off Auto mode on digital cameras to mastering cool phone photography tricks, we guide them step-by-step in a friendly and supportive environment.

Perfect for beginners or young shutterbugs who want to take their photography to the next level – these workshops are a great way to spend a few fun-filled hours this summer and beyond!

Get Off Auto 13-18 years

Is your teen new to using a DSLR or mirrorless camera, relying on AUTO mode because the buttons and menus feel overwhelming? Do they love photography and want to capture stunning landscapes, natural-looking portraits, vibrant travel shots, or spontaneous everyday moments? Whether they're photographing special occasions, everyday life, or the great outdoors, the workshop will help them take control of their camera and get the shots they've always wanted.

Summer 2025 Workshops 11-16 years

Step into a tiny world with BIG creative potential!

Join us for Mini World Photography — a fun and hands-on photography workshop where you’ll build your own miniature scenes using LEGO®, or other toy figures or vehicles, and learn how to photograph them like they’re full-sized scenes. Perfect for anyone aged 11–16 who loves photography, creative challenges, and building stories.

Requirements: a smartphone or a digital camera. Bring your own mini toy figures and props if you have them. We will also supply some.

Lights, camera… YOU!

Join us for a fun and creative Portrait & Selfie Photography Workshop where you’ll learn how to take amazing photos of yourself and your friends using natural light, professional-style lighting and a green screen. You’ll get hands-on with artificial lights, learn how to pose and direct, and use the green screen to transport yourself anywhere, from a beach in Bali to outer space!

Whether you’re using a phone or a camera, this workshop is all about having fun, building confidence, and learning how to take photos you’re proud to share. No previous experience needed!

Your tutor

Hi, I'm Jane and I'm a professional photographer and tutor. I've liked photography since I was a teenager but now I absolutely love it! And that's because I am really confident about taking the image I see in my mind's eye. I've learned how to use my camera and other gear, l understand what a huge difference light makes and I know how to use composition tools and editing to create photographs that connect with people.

And it's this knowledge, skill and enthusiasm that I'd love to share with you on this workshop. I clearly remember being a complete beginner, baffled and put off by all the jargon. I promise you'll feel like your camera is your friend by the end of the lesson.
