Got a story to tell? Whether it’s through photos, videos, writing, or even the spoken word, a brand-new creative hub is opening in Altrincham that’s designed to help you bring your ideas to life. Share Your Story is more than just a shop — it’s a place where creativity meets community, where memories are captured, and where everyone has the tools to express themselves.
What is Share Your Story?
Share Your Story is the brainchild of a former teacher, Simon Hepburn. Opening in May 2025 it will be a brand-new retail and creative space dedicated to helping people tell their stories in the most meaningful way. Whether you want to improve your photography or videography, record your own podcast, or write your story in a journal, this space has everything you need to get started.
Here’s what you’ll find inside:
Photography, Videography & Audio Equipment – Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, you’ll find cameras, microphones, drones and accessories to help you capture your story.
Photo Gifts – including notebooks, frames, albums, books and more. You'll also be able to create your own personalised photo gifts like tote bags and mugs
Workshops & Training – Learn how to take better photos, record high-quality videos and podcasts, or write compelling stories with expert-led sessions.
A Hands-On Creative Hub – Try out new gear, experiment with storytelling techniques, and get advice from friendly experts.
Photography workshops
One of the things I'm most excited about is that Share Your Story will be home to photography workshops designed for all skill levels. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to refine your skills, these hands-on sessions will help you take your photography to the next level.
Initially there'll be workshops to help you get off auto on your camera and how to use your smartphone to capture stunning photos. There'll also be more focused workshops on editing, composition, light, storytelling and different genres of photography.
These workshops will be fun and interactive, and I'm so excited to be teaching here and can't wait to help people share their stories with images.
